NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ANNOUNCED
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT
St. John’s Minor Baseball is pleased to announce that Dave Lahey has been appointed to the Executive Director role as of March 11, 2024. Dave brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for baseball that will undoubtedly help propel our association to new heights.
Dave came up through the St. John’s minor system as both a player and student employee and has played baseball for many years in the St. John’s Amateur senior league. He has served on the Board of St. John’s Amateur along with multiple committees with Baseball NL.
Dave most recently worked with SportNL, where he played key roles in NL’s participation at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in PEI as well as the planning and preparation for the 2024 NL Winter and Summer Games. His responsibilities included coordinating operational and budget matters, developing and refining policies and procedures, maintaining social media accounts, sponsorship engagement, and various communication activities. Dave was also with Sport NL for the 2022 Canada Summer Games in Niagara. In addition to this, Dave has a background in supervising and mentoring younger employees, as well as effective analytical and problem-solving skills honed in fast-paced environments within the oil and gas and mining sectors.
Please join me and our Board of Directors in welcoming Dave to this position. We look forward to working with Dave to continue to grow and strengthen the association and build on the great work of past Executive Directors and board members.
